Today, he gives his two cents on the do-it-yourself craze all engineers fall prey to.

Over the next several weeks, we will be introducing six different engineers who will be sharing their unique perspectives. Today, meet Dan from Driver Software R&D. Dan has been programming professionally for over 13 years. He enjoys music, jogging and reading. He is also very, very bitter. Although he is generally liked by his coworkers, they are all secretly grateful that he is not studying for his pilot’s license.

For those of you that haven’t heard, Todd moved away in October to pursue other opportunities. We miss him and wish him the best.

But several of us who have worked with Todd over the years wanted to keep the spirit of An Engineering Mind alive, to continue to inspire and entertain engineers everywhere. We’re hard at work creating new content and a new look for the show, which will debut on April 18th, 2011.

For now, check out Todd’s farewell video, or peruse some old videos on YouTube. To see what Todd has been up to lately, you can also follow his Twitter feed.

Thank you, and be sure to check back with us on April 18th, when we debut our new season. Thank you for your support.

–The Engineering Mind Team
